“ If you live in Salt Lake and haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out! It’s located on Redwood Road in a little plaza area with parking in the front. It’s a very busy place that’s always flooded with people. On one side they have a market, and on the other, the restaurant. We always take our food to go because it’s busy and the area is a bit small. Kamal is the owner, and he is very generous. The first time we went there he gave us a few sambusas and black ginger tea on the house. They also include a banana and a bottle of water free with every meal. He was very hospitable. I suggest you order before you go as it can take them some time to prepare the food, but it is definitely worth it! We always get the chicken soukar with rice, as well as the goat meat with rice. The rice is very fragrant and appetizing. We LOVE their green sauce. It’s so spicy and delicious. They give a lot of rice—it lasts us two meals! Even if you don’t know anything about Somali food, you should still stop by. If you’re afraid to try anything else, you can’t go wrong with the chicken soukar and rice. You won’t be disappointed! ”

I came down here to Salt Lake City from Minneapolis and there are a lot of Somali restaurants in Minneapolis but none can be compared to Global Somali restaurant, I highly recommend anyone in the area to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed I promise. Enjoy deliciousness ”
